The quick answer

Pay for Adobe Express Premium at $9.99 a month, billed monthly, if you schedule posts to more than one account per social network. Stay on the Free plan if one account per network covers you. Adobe’s archived pricing pages name Free, Premium and Teams (2+) in May 2024 and March 2025, with no Firefly Pro plan. The copies from December 2025 and April 2026 add Adobe Firefly Pro, badged “Best value”. As of October 25, 2026 the live page lists Premium at $9.99 a month, billed monthly, and Canva Pro at $144 a year for one person.

What you get

  • ✓Premium is billed monthly with no annual commitment, as the plan card prints it.
  • ✓Three accounts per social network on Premium, against one on Free.
  • ✓Brand kits, one-click Resize and Remove Video Background sit on Premium, not on Free.
  • ✓Creative Cloud Pro includes the Premium plan, so a Creative Cloud subscriber does not need a second Express subscription.
  • ✓4.8 out of 5 from 369K ratings on the App Store listing.

The trade-offs

  • ✕The Free plan allows one scheduled account per social network and 10 days of version history.
  • ✕Adobe prints two Free template counts: 100,000+ on the plan card and 268,000+ in the comparison table.
  • ✕Firefly Pro costs $10 a month more than Premium for 4,000 credits and Photoshop on web and mobile (our arithmetic).
  • ✕Teams is priced per license with a two-seat minimum, so two seats cost $15.98 a month after year one (our arithmetic).

Worth it if…

  • →Solo creators who post to three or more accounts per social network every week.
  • →Small teams that need brand kits and one-click Resize across channels, at $4.99 to $7.99 per license.
  • →Anyone who already pays for Creative Cloud Pro and wants Express included in it.

Skip it if…

  • →You post to one account per social network, and the free templates cover your designs.
  • →Template count is the deciding factor: Canva Pro lists 3.6 million templates, against 519,000+ on the Premium row of Adobe’s table.
  • →You need the full Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere apps every day: that is a Creative Cloud decision, not an Express one.

How has Adobe Express’s plan lineup changed?

Four archived copies of Adobe’s pricing page (May 2024, March 2025, December 2025, April 2026) differ on one plan: Firefly Pro appears only in the last two. The copies from May 2, 2024 and March 25, 2025 name Adobe Express Free, Premium and Teams (2+), and do not name Firefly Pro. The copies from December 3, 2025 and April 8, 2026 add Adobe Firefly Pro, badged “Best value”, alongside Free, Premium and Teams (2+).

The phrase “No annual commitment” is absent from the May 2024 copy and appears twice in the March 2025 copy. The live page still describes Premium that way: “No annual commitment, billed monthly.” The live page prints only the monthly Premium price, so the monthly figure is the one a buyer can compare.

Adobe Express against Canva Pro and Firefly, in dollars

Canva’s pricing page lists Canva Pro at $144 a year for one person, Business at $250 a year per person, and the free plan at $0. Premium at $9.99 a month comes to $119.88 over twelve months of monthly billing, about $24 less than Canva Pro’s yearly price (our arithmetic, not a printed total). Canva Pro has the bigger library: 3.6 million templates including premium, 141 million premium photos, videos, graphics and audio, and five Brand Kits, against Premium’s 519,000+ templates and 200M+ royalty-free Adobe Stock assets.

Firefly Pro costs $19.99 a month, or $239.88 over twelve months of monthly billing (our arithmetic). Its plan card adds 4,000 generative credits a month and says it includes “Adobe Photoshop on web and mobile”, which matters if you edit photos and not only post them. Teams is $4.99 per license a month in year one, then $7.99, with a two-seat minimum. Two seats cost $9.98 a month in year one and $15.98 after (our arithmetic).

If you want the full apps, Creative Cloud Pro is the route. The page prints “Includes the Adobe Express Premium plan” beside “Regularly at US$69.99” and “Alternatively at US$19.99/mo”, so a Creative Cloud subscriber already has Premium and should not pay for it twice.

What do users say about Adobe Express?

Both numbers cover the free app and its paid tiers together, so neither shows whether Premium buyers are happier than free users.

What the free plan stops you from doing

The free plan is a real option, and its limits are printed on the plan card: one scheduled account per social network, 10 days of version history, 5GB of storage, and “Free daily generations” rather than a monthly credit pool. The same card says “Access to 100,000+ static and video templates”, while the comparison table prints 268,000+ for the same plan. Adobe prints both numbers, so treat the Free template count as unsettled until one of them changes.

Premium raises the limits to three accounts per network and 100GB, and adds 30 days of version history, brand kits, one-click Resize and Remove Video Background. Those features justify the price for a creator who posts across several channels, and they are the reason to skip it if you post to one.

The verdict

Pay for Premium if you post to several accounts every week. For a solo creator that is the plan to buy, and on the monthly price it works out about $24 a year less than Canva Pro (our arithmetic).

Stay on Free if one account per network covers you. The Free plan costs $0, and its limits are printed on the plan card.

Do not add Premium on top of Creative Cloud Pro. The page says the plan is included.

What would change the answer: more than three accounts per network, which Premium does not give, or a team need, which takes two seats to $15.98 a month after the first year (our arithmetic). The ratings do not settle it, because 4.8 on the App Store and 4.5 on G2 cover free and paid users together.
