Is Comfy Cloud worth it in 2026?

Plan prices, monthly credits and GPU rates from Comfy’s own pages, a 10-hour month priced on monthly and yearly billing, and what running ComfyUI on your own computer leaves you to pay for. Read 20 October 2026.

By Louis Corneloup·Updated October 22, 2026

The quick answer

Comfy Cloud’s paid plans start at $20 a month billed monthly or $16 a month billed yearly (Standard, as listed on comfy.org on 20 October 2026), and it is worth paying for when you want rented GPU time you do not own. ComfyUI itself is free to run on your own computer. A month of credits is 4,200 on Standard, 7,400 on Creator and 21,100 on Pro, about 4.4, 7.7 and 22 hours at the RTX PRO 6000 rate of 957.94 credits an hour. For a 10-hour month, Creator plus a top-up costs $38.33 a month billed yearly, and Pro costs $80 a month billed yearly or $100 billed monthly. The catches: plan credits expire, Standard cannot import your own models, and Comfy’s pages disagree on the free offer.

ComfyUI is free to run on your own computer, so Comfy Cloud has to earn its price with what it adds. Comfy lists three things: a hosted GPU (Blackwell RTX 6000 Pro with 96GB of VRAM), a library of 900+ pre-installed models, and no setup. What you pay for is rented GPU time, sold as credits. Plan prices, credits and GPU rates below were read on Comfy’s pricing page on 20 October 2026, and the totals are our arithmetic.

Academy data: our Stable Diffusion, Flux and Flux Kontext prompt packs hold 83 prompts (23, 30 and 30, recounted on 20 October 2026), and this is our only ComfyUI review, written next to our reviews of hosted generators such as Krea, Leonardo AI and Midjourney. Comfy’s own pages are the source of every Comfy Cloud price here.

Header prices are Monthly toggle prices. The pricing page opens on its Yearly toggle, where prices are per month and billed once a year. The Monthly toggle shows 4,200, 7,400 and 21,100 monthly credits, equal to the yearly credits divided by 12. Computed rows assume top-ups at 211 credits per dollar and no Partner Nodes or Comfy Agent. Comfy’s video estimate assumes the Wan 2.2 Image-to-Video template at default settings (81 frames, 18fps, 640x640, 4-step sampler).

What you get

  • ✓Credits go on run time: Comfy says idle time, including time spent building a workflow, does not use credits.
  • ✓One credit balance covers GPU time and Partner Nodes, and top-up credits last 1 year from purchase.
  • ✓A 96GB GPU without owning one: Comfy says Cloud runs on Blackwell RTX 6000 Pro GPUs.
  • ✓900+ pre-installed models and the most-used custom nodes, so there is nothing to install.
  • ✓Yearly billing takes 20% off the Standard, Creator and Pro monthly prices.

The trade-offs

  • ✕Plan credits expire: on a monthly plan, unspent plan credits such as the 11,520.6 a month Pro leaves in the 10-hour case reset each month; on a yearly plan they reset once a year.
  • ✕Runs stop at 30 minutes on Standard and Creator and at 1 hour on Pro, and Comfy cancels jobs over the limit.
  • ✕Own models start at Creator: Standard cannot import models or LoRAs, and direct upload of larger models is a roadmap item.
  • ✕Custom node support is partial: Comfy says Cloud supports the most-used custom nodes, not every one.
  • ✕Comfy’s pages disagree on the free offer and on refunds, so confirm both before paying.

Worth it if…

  • →You have no GPU, or one too small for the models you want, and would otherwise rent or buy one.
  • →You use roughly 7 to 19 hours of GPU time a month and can commit to a year, where our arithmetic puts Creator with top-ups lowest of the three personal plans.
  • →You want to build locally for free and send only heavy jobs to a bigger GPU, which Comfy itself suggests.
  • →You want to bring LoRAs from CivitAI or Hugging Face without managing a machine, which needs Creator or above.

Skip it if…

  • →A GPU you already own runs your workflows. ComfyUI on your computer is free and open source.
  • →Your workflows need custom nodes outside the most-used set, or models too large for CivitAI or Hugging Face import.
  • →You want unused credits refunded. Comfy’s credits documentation says refunds for unused credits are not supported.
  • →You use a few hours a month on a monthly plan, where unused plan credits expire.

What does Comfy Cloud add over free ComfyUI?

The software on your own computer costs nothing. Comfy’s download page describes Comfy Desktop as free and open source under GPL-3.0, with no feature gates, trials or catch. What local costs you is hardware and electricity, which this page does not price because Comfy publishes no figure for them. The same page says a dedicated GPU is strongly recommended, since more VRAM means bigger models and batches.

Cloud sells the other side of that trade. Comfy says it runs on Blackwell RTX 6000 Pro GPUs with 96GB of VRAM, includes 900+ pre-installed models and supports a variety of the most-used custom nodes. Its Cloud page says workflows work across Desktop and Cloud, with a caveat: only the most popular custom nodes are supported for now, so check each node a workflow uses. Comfy’s advice is a mix: build locally and push heavy jobs to Cloud, which bills GPU time only while a workflow runs.

How do Comfy Cloud credits work?

Credits are one balance for two things: active GPU time while a workflow runs, and Partner Nodes, proprietary models such as Nano Banana Pro that run inside a workflow. Partner Node cost depends on the model and its parameters, and Comfy Agent draws on free credits for new users before your Comfy Credits, so neither is in any total here.

Comfy’s top-up article gives the exchange rate: $1 converts to 211 credits. The RTX PRO 6000 row of the pricing table is $4.54 an hour, which is 957.94 credits an hour (4.54 x 211), and Comfy’s credits article gives the Cloud rate as 0.266 credits per second (957.6 an hour).

That table sits under the heading Comfy API pricing, with every GPU billed by the second. The other rows are H100 SXM at $6.23 an hour, H200 SXM at $7.71 and B200 at $11.23, and network storage is $0.20 per GB per month. Comfy names RTX 6000 Pro as the Cloud machine and does not say whether Cloud sessions can pick another GPU, so the scenario below uses the RTX PRO 6000 row only.

Plan credits do not roll over. Comfy’s pricing FAQ says they reset at the end of each billing cycle, monthly on monthly plans and once a year on annual plans, which receive their whole year of credits up front. Top-up credits persist for 1 year from purchase and are used after the plan allowance.

What does a 10-hour month cost on each plan?

Take a user who runs image and video workflows for about 10 hours of GPU time a month, all on the RTX PRO 6000 row. That is 10 x 957.94, or 9,579.4 credits, worth $45.40 at the table rate. A month of plan credits covers 4.38 hours on Standard, 7.72 on Creator and 22.03 on Pro.

Pro is the only personal plan whose own credits cover the 10 hours, using 45% of its allowance and leaving 11,520.6 credits a month unspent. The alternative is a smaller plan plus a top-up at 211 credits a dollar. Standard needs 5,379.4 more credits ($25.49) and Creator 2,179.4 ($10.33). Added to each plan’s monthly price, the totals are $45.49 and $45.33. Billed yearly they are $41.49 and $38.33 a month, and Pro stays at its flat yearly price.

Of the three personal plans, Creator with a top-up is the lowest for this month on yearly billing. On monthly billing Standard and Creator land 16 cents apart, because a plan’s monthly credits cost about what a top-up does (210, 211.4 and 211 credits per dollar on Standard, Creator and Pro, against 211). Yearly billing makes the price per credit 20% lower on all three. Team sits outside the comparison, because its lowest slider tier is $200 a month.

The ranking flips with hours. Counting only RTX PRO 6000 time, Standard costs least of the three below about 7 hours a month on yearly billing and about 7.7 on monthly billing. Creator costs least up to about 19.2 hours on yearly billing, and Pro above that. On monthly billing, Pro never costs less than Creator plus top-ups in this arithmetic, so it is bought for its 1-hour run limit and larger API limits.

Is Comfy Cloud worth it compared with running ComfyUI locally?

It depends on the GPU you already own. Local software costs $0, and the machine and its electricity are yours, so the fair test is your current hardware against the Cloud totals above. If a GPU you own already runs your workflows, Cloud adds a 96GB GPU on demand and no setup, and Comfy’s own advice is to send it only the heavy jobs.

If you have no suitable GPU, the comparison is Cloud against buying or renting hardware, and this page cannot price that side: Comfy publishes no hardware prices and we use no third-party figures.

What do the Team and Enterprise plans cost?

Team is a slider, so there is no single Team price. Comfy’s FAQ says it has five tiers from $200 to $2,500 a month, set by a credit commitment. The discount starts at the $400 tier (5% annual, 2.5% monthly) and reaches up to 20% on annual plans and 10% on monthly plans. The card opens on a tier of 1,772,400 credits per year, shown at $630 a month and $7,560 billed yearly, marked as 10% off a $700 list price.

Team pricing is not per seat, and membership is capped at 50 today. Team includes everything in Pro plus a shared credit pool, role-based permissions and larger API limits. Enterprise has no public price: the FAQ lists higher API rate limits, advanced security and dedicated support.

Where do Comfy’s own pages disagree?

Three details change what you pay for. The free offer: the pricing page banner offers new users 5 free runs on real GPUs plus free Comfy Agent credits, does not define a run, and shows no Free plan card, though an Agent FAQ line on the same page still mentions a Free plan. Comfy’s subscription guide says a paid plan is needed to run workflows, and a 2 March 2026 post announced 400 free credits a month. Confirm the offer at sign-up.

Refunds: the pricing FAQ says requests go through a support ticket and are reviewed case by case, while the credits documentation says refunds for unused credits are not supported. Cancelling keeps the plan active to the end of the paid period.

Your own models: the pricing page says Creator, Pro and Team can import models and LoRAs from CivitAI or Hugging Face, while the Cloud page speaks of LoRAs and lists direct file upload for larger models as a roadmap item. Standard offers neither.

What changed in Comfy Cloud pricing?

Comfy’s 25 November 2025 post introduced Comfy Credits as one balance for GPU time and Partner Nodes, with Creator and Pro plans from 8 December 2025. It carries a note that, as of 23 January 2026, GPU prices had dropped by 30%. Comfy’s docs say plan prices, credit amounts and discount rates can change.

Where the Academy fits

Our Stable Diffusion pack has 23 prompts, the Flux and Flux Kontext packs have 30 each (the second for in-context image editing), and our Hunyuan video pack describes its 30 prompts as copy-paste ready for ComfyUI.

If node graphs are more than you want, our reviews of Krea, Leonardo AI and Midjourney cover hosted generators with their own interfaces. This page quotes none of their prices.

The verdict

Comfy Cloud is worth it when you need a GPU you do not own and can use a plan’s credits before they expire. On yearly billing, and counting only RTX PRO 6000 time, Creator with top-ups costs least of the three personal plans between about 7 and 19 hours a month, Standard costs least below that, and Pro costs least above it. If a GPU you own already runs your workflows, ComfyUI on your computer costs nothing in software, and Comfy’s advice is to send only heavy jobs to Cloud.

The caveats are specific. Plan credits expire, Standard cannot import your own models, runs stop at 30 minutes below Pro, and Comfy’s pages disagree on the free offer and on refunds. Re-check the pricing page on the day you subscribe.
