Is Figma Make worth it in 2026?
Which seat includes Make, what the free Starter plan allows, how AI credits cap usage, and what a five-person team pays on each paid plan.
The quick answer
Figma Make is worth a Full seat for a designer or product manager who prototypes apps from prompts most weeks, and the entry point is Professional at $16 a month billed annually or $20 billed monthly. The free Starter plan includes Figma Make with limits, so you can test it before paying. The catch is credits: Professional gives each Full seat 3,000 AI credits a month, Figma’s public pages print no price for extra credits, and a seat that runs out keeps using paid AI only while the admin has subscription credits left or pay-as-you-go billing on under its monthly spending limit; otherwise paid AI stops until the monthly reset or until an admin adds credits.

Figma’s site describes Figma Make as “Prompt to code anything you can imagine.” It is not sold on its own. Make comes with the Full seat, so the real decision is which plan carries that seat and how far its monthly AI credits go. For a designer or product manager who prototypes apps from a prompt, those two answers decide the cost.
This review covers what Starter, Professional, Organization and Enterprise include for Make, how the AI credits meter it, and what each seat costs on both billing options. Prices are in US dollars from Figma’s pricing page, read on 24 October 2026, and the credit rules come from its AI credits help article. Academy data: of the 15 prompt packs in our library for general, UI, UX, web, product and graphic design, plus Figma, none names Figma Make by name, and the closest is the Claude Figma pack, so every Figma Make figure here comes from Figma.

What you get
- ✓Figma Make on the free plan: Starter includes it, with limits, so a designer can try the core product before paying anything.
- ✓A Make-capable seat on Professional: the Full seat includes almost every Make feature and its own monthly credit allowance.
- ✓The allowance rises with the plan: each step up from Professional to Enterprise adds monthly credits, so heavier users have more room before the cap.
- ✓Annual billing is the cheapest monthly rate: it saves $4 a month on each Professional Full seat against monthly billing.
The trade-offs
- ✕No printed price for extra credits: a heavy month can exhaust the pool, and Figma’s pricing page and credit articles give no per-credit figure to budget against.
- ✕Work stops at the cap: if the admin has no subscription credits left and pay-as-you-go is off, a seat that runs out stops paid AI until the monthly reset or until an admin adds credits.
- ✕Credits do not roll over: unused monthly credits disappear at reset, so a quiet month is budget you cannot get back.
- ✕Starter is a test bed, not a team setup: its daily cap, no custom templates and missing connectors make it a trial for one person.
Worth it if…
- →You prototype apps or interfaces from prompts most weeks and want the whole Make feature list.
- →You already run a Full seat for Figma Design and want Make on the same seat, without adding a second tool.
- →You will count credits on one real project before the rest of a team signs up.
Skip it if…
- →You need Make connectors, Make templates or Make kits on the free plan, which Starter leaves out.
- →Your team is mostly Dev or Collab seats, since those seats can only explore Make in drafts and cannot share the Make files they create.
- →You need a fixed monthly bill, because Figma’s public pages print no price for extra credits and pay-as-you-go overage lands on the invoice on top of the seats.
The Full seat includes Figma Make
Figma’s seat list settles the first question. The Full seat includes all Figma products, among them Figma Design, Dev Mode, FigJam, Figma Slides, Figma Draw and Figma Make. Dev seats cover Dev Mode, FigJam, Slides, Buzz and Specs, and Collab seats cover FigJam, Slides, Buzz and Specs. A team where most people review or hand off designs pays the Full seat price for each person who needs to prompt, because Dev and Collab seats can only explore Make in drafts (Dev seats can also export code from Make files), and the Make files they create cannot be shared without a Full seat.
On Professional, a Full seat costs $16 a month billed annually, and $20 a month billed monthly. That is $4 more per month, or 25 percent above the annual rate (our arithmetic). A Dev seat is $12 a month billed annually and a Collab seat is $3 a month billed annually. On annual billing, a Full seat costs more than five times a Collab seat (our arithmetic).
What the free Starter plan lets you test
Starter costs nothing and includes Figma Make with limits. Its Full seat gets 150 AI credits a day, up to 500 a month, and the help center confirms that a reached daily limit resets the following day. At the 100-credit floor Figma gives for generating an app from scratch, that is about five app builds a month and at most one a day. Figma’s credit examples are approximate, so read them as a sizing guide, not a quota.
The leftovers matter too. Starter leaves out Make connectors, Make templates, Make kits, Library styling context, password protection and publishing custom connectors. It keeps 30 days of version history but has no custom Figma Design templates, while Professional allows five and Organization and Enterprise allow unlimited. For a designer who wants to try Make on one real screen, the free plan is enough. For a team that needs shared templates and connectors, it is not.
How AI credits meter Make
Make draws on the same monthly pool as every other AI feature on the seat. Credits reset monthly and do not roll over. The help center says Make’s use depends on the model you choose, the task and the context you attach, such as files, design libraries or chat history. Its examples, on the default model as of February 2026, are 30 or more credits to change a font, 75 or more to make an attached design interactive, and 100 or more to generate an app from scratch.
On Professional’s 3,000 credits, those floors mean at most about 30 app builds or about 100 font changes (our arithmetic). Plan mode can use more credits than a standard build prompt, but the help center notes that a well-scoped plan can mean fewer correction prompts afterward. When a seat runs out, paid AI keeps going only if the admin has a credit subscription with credits left or pay-as-you-go billing on. Otherwise it stops until the reset or until an admin adds credits. Pay-as-you-go bills extra use on the next invoice, up to a monthly spending limit the admin sets. Extra credits come as a monthly subscription or pay-as-you-go billing, and the price per credit falls as the tier rises. Neither the pricing page nor the credit articles print a price per credit, and the tiers appear only in an admin’s checkout.
What a team pays, monthly or annual
Five people on Professional Full seats cost $80 a month billed annually, or $960 a year, and $100 a month billed monthly, or $1,200 a year (our arithmetic on the printed seat prices). The same five on Organization Full seats cost $275 a month, or $3,300 a year, billed annually only. At the printed $90 Enterprise Full seat, five people cost $450 a month, or $5,400 a year, also billed annually.
Organization is the step up for connector and library control. It adds publishing custom connectors, in-app library analytics and approved libraries, plus 3,500 credits a month, which is 500 more than Professional for $39 more per seat each month, both on annual billing ($55 against $16). Professional already includes every Make feature except publishing custom connectors. A team that wants Make and nothing else should stay on Professional and pay for Organization only for the library controls it needs. The annual rate is the lowest printed price for each seat on every plan that offers it.
The verdict
For a designer or product manager who builds prototypes from prompts most weeks, Figma Make is worth a Professional Full seat. That seat carries almost the whole Make feature list and a monthly credit allowance that covers up to about 30 app builds at the help center’s floor figure. Annual billing is the cheapest way to hold it.
Two caveats. Do not roll Make out to a team on the strength of the free plan, because its daily cap and missing connectors and templates make Starter a test bed. And measure one real build before you commit. Your own credit cost per build decides whether the seat pays off, and Figma’s public pages print no price for credits bought above the allowance.
