AI Tool Review

Is Fyxer AI worth it in 2026?

What the new Pro and Team plans cost, how credits limit sorting and meeting notes, and why some teams’ bills doubled in September.

By AI Academy editorial team·Published November 7, 2026

The quick answer

Fyxer AI is worth $37 a month (Pro, billed annually) or $49 monthly for a professional who handles a heavy inbox and lots of client meetings, because it drafts replies, labels email and takes meeting notes in one tool. The September 2026 repricing removed the old $30 Starter plan, moved drafting off the free tier and put usage on credits, so light users and teams that only want meeting notes now pay more than before.

Short answer: Fyxer AI is worth $37 a seat a month billed annually, or $49 billed monthly, for a professional who spends an hour or more a day in email and meetings. It is a harder sell than it was: a September 14, 2026 archive snapshot still showed a Starter plan with drafted replies at $30 a month, and that plan is closed to new customers.

Fyxer connects to Gmail or Outlook, sorts incoming mail into labels such as To respond and FYI, drafts replies in your tone for you to send, and joins video calls to record notes and draft a follow-up. It never sends email on its own. The current pricing page adds Spaces, automated Flows and a credit system that meters most of that work.

What you get

  • ✓One tool for email and meetings: labels, drafted replies and meeting notes with follow-ups.
  • ✓Drafts only: it never sends on its own, so you stay in control.
  • ✓Works with Gmail and Outlook: one seat covers both if a user connects each.
  • ✓Launch offer: unlimited credits for the first 3 months on paid plans.
  • ✓Free viewers: people who only read shared notes do not need a seat.

The trade-offs

  • ✕Cheaper plan gone: the $30 Starter plan is closed to new customers.
  • ✕Credits after month three: 3,000 a month on Pro runs out with heavy meetings.
  • ✕Free plan has no drafts: it does not sort or draft email.
  • ✕Team costs add up: $99 a seat monthly, $64 billed annually.
  • ✕Mixed-language notes: one team’s blind test ranked other engines above Fyxer.

Worth it if…

  • →Consultants, agents and founders who live in email and client calls all day.
  • →Someone who will send many drafts with light edits and wants inbox triage.
  • →Existing Starter or Professional customers who can keep their legacy price.

Skip it if…

  • →You mainly want meeting transcripts; a dedicated notetaker costs less.
  • →Your inbox is light enough that $49 a month buys little time back.
  • →Your team needs shared inboxes but cannot justify $64 to $99 a seat.
  • →Your meetings are mostly in mixed languages and transcript quality matters.

How has Fyxer’s pricing changed?

Fyxer repriced in September 2026. A May 2025 snapshot lists Standard at $30 a user a month ($270 a year on annual billing) and Professional at $50 a month ($450 a year). The September 14, 2026 snapshot shows the same two prices under the names Starter ($30 monthly, $22.50 billed annually) and Professional ($50 monthly, $37.50 billed annually), both with a 7-day trial and no credits.

Today’s lineup is Free, Pro at $49 monthly or $37 billed annually, Team at $99 or $64, and Enterprise on contract. Fyxer’s help center confirms Starter and Professional became legacy plans in September 2026: existing customers can keep them at the same price for now, but new customers must pick a new plan. At the top end the price barely moved ($50 to $49 monthly); at the bottom, the cheapest way to get drafted replies rose from $30 to $49 a month on monthly billing, or from $22.50 to $37 billed annually.

Teams felt it most. madewithlove, a software consultancy, wrote on October 20, 2026 that after the change “our bill more than doubled for exactly the same thing”: nine seats went from $252 a month to $576 on the new Team plan, by its own figures.

How credits limit what you get

Every paid plan includes unlimited credits for the first 3 months as a launch offer. After that, Pro includes 3,000 credits a month per paid member and Team 6,000, pooled. The pricing page lists the rates: inbox sorting costs 0.2 credits per email (5 emails per credit), meeting recording 1 credit a minute, a chat message 20, a Flow run 5, an uploaded document 30 and a deep research question 175.

Here is a busy month on Pro, our arithmetic on those rates: 8 hours of meetings a week for 4 weeks is 1,920 credits, 2,500 sorted emails is 500 and 25 chat messages is another 500, for 2,920 credits. That just fits; a few more meetings and you run out. Fyxer says it warns at 80% and 100% and that inbox sorting pauses first while recording continues.

The Free plan has 400 credits a month, which Fyxer says equals about 20 chat messages or 6 hours 40 minutes of audio notes. It does not draft replies or sort your inbox, so it is a meeting-notes sampler rather than a free version of the email product.

Is $49 a month worth an hour of email a day?

The maths is simple if the time saving is real. At $49 a month, Fyxer pays for itself if it saves you one hour a month that you value at $49 or more. Someone who saves 30 minutes on each of 20 working days gets back 10 hours, which puts the cost at about $4.90 an hour on monthly billing, or $3.70 on the annual plan (our arithmetic).

The open question is how many drafts you send as written. A Hacker News user who had used Fyxer on a work Gmail account wrote in November 2024 that they “send about 50% of the drafts without editing” and found its spam filtering better than Gmail’s. If half your drafts still need rewriting, the saving is in triage and a first draft, not in sending.

Count seats carefully. A seat is one paid member however many inboxes they connect, but working across several inboxes at once is a Team feature. A three-person team on Team billed annually pays $2,304 a year, against $1,332 for three Pro seats (our arithmetic). Viewers who only read shared notes are free.

Meeting notes: the part some teams replace

Pro and Team record every meeting with video and draft a follow-up email afterwards. You choose which meetings it joins, and the host can remove it. That bundling is the main reason to choose Fyxer over a separate notetaker such as Fireflies or Granola.

It is also the weak point in the one independent comparison we found. madewithlove ran six of its own bilingual English and Dutch meetings through several transcription engines in a blind listening test: ElevenLabs Scribe was picked 24 times in the 44 snippets it appeared in, and Fyxer won 9. That is a single team’s mixed-language test, not a benchmark, but it is a warning for anyone whose calls are not in clean English.

If you mainly want meeting notes, a dedicated notetaker is likely cheaper than a $49 seat. If you want inbox triage and drafts with notes as a bonus, Fyxer’s bundle makes more sense.

Trial, privacy and switching away

The pricing page offers a 14-day trial. Its FAQ says the trial runs on the Team plan with unlimited credits and drops you to Free when it ends unless you pay; the same FAQ also says Pro has no trial of its own, so the vendor’s pages differ on that point. Check which plan you are on before the trial ends.

Fyxer says it holds SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 27001, that the AI providers it uses cannot train on your data, and that you can opt out of its own model training. Data storage in your region (EU, UK or US), SSO and HIPAA terms are Enterprise features. If you delete your account, Fyxer says your inbox reverts to how it was before.

Academy data: of the 20 email prompt packs in our library, none names Fyxer; they hold 586 prompts between them, such as the ChatGPT cold email prompts, which help you write emails yourself rather than triage an inbox.

The verdict

Fyxer AI is worth $37 a month on annual billing, or $49 monthly, for a professional whose day is a full inbox plus client meetings, provided most drafts need only light edits. For lighter email loads, or if you only need meeting notes, the September 2026 repricing makes it hard to justify.

Existing customers should stay on a legacy plan while Fyxer allows it. New buyers should use the 14-day trial and the 3-month unlimited-credit window to measure real credit use before committing to a year. What would change this verdict: a cheaper entry plan with drafts, or higher credit caps on Pro.
